Proof that Bill Courtney wrote to the University of Manchester Vice-Chancellor when he discovered that Dr Oyadiji had falsely claimed credit for a patent that Bill had written
The patent in question is:
Bill was inspired to write this patent following supportive tuition from Professor Reid at UMIST.
Professor Reid was internationally recognised for his work on impact energy absorbing containers filled with dry foam. With Reid's generous support, Bill was building on this by replacing the foam with SALi.
Stealing credit for this particular patent application is ironic because three years later, a Formal Enquiry Panel ignored this evidence of Dr Oyadiji's IP theft.
But it reprimanded Bill for his "unprofessional conduct" in discussing SALi with Professor Reid. Their report falsely recorded that discussions had taken place without Dr Oyadiji's agreement.
